My new Brother P-Touch Label Maker makes it super easy to stay organized.

Brother P Touch Label Close Up

The main reason I love it is because it’s fast. If I decide I want a label for something, all I need to do is turn it on, type in what I want, hit print, and wait about 3 seconds for it to print out. Ok, I guess you could maybe add a few more seconds for peeling the backing off the label so it can stick, but it’s two separate pieces that are easy to separate, so I’m not sure if that really counts.

A couple weeks ago, I shared some photos of my office craft closet. You might remember this one of my disorganized attempt at organization.

I found a few fabric drawers on clearance for $1 each, so I put them to use with my labeler to get this mess cleaned up.

Brother Organized Supplies

Don’t get me wrong, there is still a little bit of junk, but for the most part, my stuff has a home – coloring books & paper in one bin, markers & crayons in another, and paint supplies in a third. It makes it A LOT easier to clean up after Levi and I are done playing, too. Instead of throwing everything into a bag and then having to dig through and find the one item we need the next time we play, I can just toss everything into the bin it belongs in. Then, the next time I need something, I know exactly where to look.

I have a couple small 3-drawer organizers on the side of my closet I labeled, too.

It felt REALLY good to label the contents of each drawer. Since they’re dark grey, usually I have to open each one to look inside and dig around before I find what I’m looking for. With the Brother P-Touch Label Maker, I was able to take two minutes to print out labels. Easy. Peasy. Organized. Awesome.

One of the features of this label maker I really like, aside from the printing speed, is that it has an easy scissor button so you can snip off your label and use it right away. You don’t have to dig for a pair of scissors (I haven’t labeled that drawer yet, so lord knows whether or not I’d even be able to find them in the first place.)

I’ll admit – I’m kind of a simple person when it comes to organizing. This machine can do fancy fonts and symbols and borders. I tried them out, but since my organization style is “get it done now or it’ll never get done,” most of my labels are pretty plain so I could print them off and keep moving along. I think if I were into scrapbooking or if I was making a label for one of Levi’s art projects, I’d probably play around more with those options.

I can’t wait to start my next home organization project – Levi’s toys. I just bought a new stackable organizer, and I know once I get all of the drawers labeled, it’ll make it much easier to keep his room picked up and clean.

What Room In Your House Needs More Organization?

I wrote this review while participating in a campaign by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Brother P-Touch and received a product sample to facilitate my review as well as a promotional item to thank me for my participation.
